P, with the partnership of HIS 1040, established this hospital in 2010. It provides free medical care, and is equipped for the early detection and cure of malaria. The Eye Center performs an average of 15 free cataract surgeries per week. Free medical clinics are also taken to the villages throughout the year.

New believers among the tribes
HIS 1040 works with P and L and their organization Uphold India in Srikakulam, India to reach out to the tribal belt in the hills among the Saura people. Together, they have ministries for underprivileged children, projects for community development and church planting. Some activities are:
Uphold India is building a home for children affected by HIV-AIDS and is nearly completed. The average cost for each child’s medical care is $50/month. Prayerfully consider how the Lord can use you in this endeavor.
P and L work among the Saura tribal people has brought more than 30,000 people from 250 villages to Christ. A Bible school and Mission school were established to train workers for the ministry. Uphold India continues to cross tribal barriers and bring the Gospel to other tribal groups, such as the Khurdus. Today, there are 30 churches among new believers in that tribe. Praise the Lord!
